About Vincent Arroyo Winery

Vincent Arroyo Family Winery sits north of Calistoga on Greenwood Avenue, where Vincent Arroyo, a mechanical engineer who left Silicon Valley for a rural life, bought the ranch in 1972 and released his first commercial wine from the 1984 vintage. His daughter Adrian runs the winery today as president and general manager, with her husband Matt Moye as head winemaker.

The house specialty is Petite Sirah, poured alongside other estate reds from roughly 65 planted acres, with production around 8,000 cases. Tastings are relaxed and unpolished, held in a working space around a tasting table that has been in use since the 1980s rather than in a designed hospitality room. The winery sells only through the tasting room and its website, with no retail distribution, and it is known for a futures program that lets visitors put money down on a coming vintage.
