About Antinori Napa Valley (Antica)
This Atlas Peak estate is owned by the Antinori family of Florence, Italy, whose winemaking history dates to 1385. Marchese Piero Antinori first partnered on the property in the mid-1980s and the family purchased it outright in 1993, planting vineyards at elevations up to 1,800 feet above the Napa Valley floor.
Originally released under the name Antica (short for "Antinori in California"), the estate has since rebranded as Antinori Napa Valley. It produces small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay from its high-elevation, above-the-fog-line vineyards, and pours by appointment in a Tuscan-style villa overlooking the estate.
