About Melka Estates

Melka Estates is a Napa Valley wine producer, established in 1999. Consulting winemaker Philippe Melka and wife Cherie built their own St. Helena estate around the Metisse blend they first bottled in 1996. Philippe and Cherie Melka launched their personal label with a 240-case Bordeaux blend called Metisse before building out the St. Helena estate.

Philippe Melka, Bordeaux-trained and a consultant to numerous Napa producers, makes his own single-vineyard wines here alongside wife and co-owner Cherie Melka. The Melkas farm an 11-acre St. Helena home estate plus the 25-acre Mekerra property in Knights Valley, Sonoma County.

We have not found a published schedule for routine public tasting at Melka Estates. The wines are sold direct or through the trade, and any visit would be by arrangement, so contact the producer before planning one.
