About Meteor Vineyard
Meteor Vineyard is named for the meteor — the celestial body that enters the atmosphere burning, moves with extraordinary speed and intensity, leaves a trail of light across the night sky, and leaves its impact mark on the earth. Applied to wine, the meteor declares wine that moves through the palate with brief, extraordinary intensity and leaves a lasting aromatic and flavor impression.
The Coombsville estate in the southeastern Napa Valley produces Cabernet Sauvignon from the appellation's distinctive volcanic soils and marine-cooled growing environment. Coombsville's cooler temperatures relative to the Napa Valley floor naturally lower alcohol and increase natural acidity, producing Cabernet of unusual freshness and precision. Wine Advocate has scored Meteor's Coombsville Cabernet at 93–96 points.
