About Miner Family Winery
Miner Family Winery sits on the Silverado Trail in Oakville, with vineyard views and a large cave and production complex. The hospitality menu covers quick public tastings, longer private appointments and cave-focused programs, allowing the property to serve both spontaneous visitors and serious collectors. The most important page distinction is that the basic tastings do not include a cave or production tour.
The 30-minute Trio Tasting is $30 and offers a smaller sampling. The $50 Current Release Tasting lasts up to an hour in the tasting room or on the terrace. Private Vineyard Views starts at $100 but does not include the cave. The $125 Private Cave Tasting includes limited wines, a barrel sample and production tour. The $200 Oracle Vertical adds four vintages, cheese and charcuterie, followed by cave and production access.
Miner's full tasting program operates Thursday through Monday, with limited Trio and Current Release availability on Tuesday and Wednesday. Walk-ins are welcomed and encouraged, although reservations protect the desired time. Online standard bookings can accommodate groups up to ten, while private experiences apply service fees to larger parties. Food, child and pet policies should be confirmed for the assigned seating and experience.
Miner works for travelers who need flexibility. A casual guest can stop for the Trio, first-time visitors can select the current-release flight and wine-focused groups can reserve a private cave experience. The Oracle vertical is better suited to collectors who value vintage comparison and food pairing. Its central Silverado Trail position makes it easy to combine with Oakville and Yountville plans.
Do not advertise the $30 or $50 reservations as cave tours. Guests who care about the production facility should reserve the $125 cave or $200 Oracle format. Check Tuesday and Wednesday availability before traveling and reserve premium experiences in advance. The page should show the starting-price language for private tiers and note that experience inclusions, service charges and seating may vary by group size.
Miner runs entirely on solar power installed in 2008 and celebrated its 30th vintage from a hillside Oakville winery in 2025.

"Wino Notion likes Miner's broad ladder of experiences, from a quick $30 Trio to a serious Oracle vertical with cave access. The menu gives visitors real control over time and budget as long as the page makes clear which bookings include a tour."
