About Peachfork Orchards and Vineyards
Peachfork Orchards and Vineyards is a family-owned orchard and winery high on the Colorado Plateau in Palisade, on East Orchard Mesa along the Fruit and Wine Byway. The Brennan family has farmed here since 1972, planted their first grapes in 1993, and now tends roughly 20,000 vines, long a primary grower for Carlson Vineyards before bonding their own winery in 2017.
The Peachfork sits where wind and water weathered sandstone, shale, and limestone into canyons and arroyos, and winemaker Philip Patton draws those ancient soils into honest, characterful wines, often with a bit of spice. The estate lineup has collected Double Gold and Platinum medals, from a roasted-berry Chambourcin and a Blaufrankisch to a Cabernet Sauvignon, dry blends, Dry Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and a tawny-style Syrah Port. Alongside the wine, it remains a real orchard, with peaches, apples, and August U-pick.
Hours, tasting fees, and reservation policies change with the season, so it is worth checking the winery's website or calling ahead before you visit, especially on weekends. The details on this profile may have shifted since publication, and the producer is always the most authoritative source.

Wines change with each vintage
Peachfork makes estate wines from its own grapes, a lineup that has earned Double Gold at the Colorado Governor's Cup, including Chambourcin, a Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufrankisch (Lemberger), dry red and white blends, Dry Riesling, Gewurztraminer, a Syrah Port, and a peach wine. Offerings rotate.
