About Progeny Winery
Progeny Winery was founded in 2007 by husband and wife Paul and Betty Woolls, who purchased a former cattle ranch on the southern slope of Mt. Veeder. Betty had previously founded O'Shaughnessy Winery on Howell Mountain in 2003 before starting Progeny as a family estate project.
The 230-plus-acre property has 32 acres under vine, planted beginning in 2009 to 2010 at elevations of roughly 700 to 950 feet, farmed for estate-grown Bordeaux and Rhône varieties. Progeny produces about 2,000 cases a year across four wines, Trinity Blanc, Trinity Rouge, and two tiers of Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, and visits are private and by appointment only.
