About Bonita Bonita
Bonita Bonita is what happens when two of the most recognizable performers in wrestling history decide their second act is wine, and take it seriously. Twin sisters Nikki and Brie Garcia, known to millions as the Bella Twins, started their label in 2016 and moved to Napa Valley in 2020 to build it for real. The wines are made in partnership with the Hill family at Hill Family Estate in Yountville, with veteran winemaker Alison Doran, whose career spans more than fifty vintages, shaping the lineup. The sisters describe the project as a celebration of their roots as farmers' daughters, and the result reads less like a celebrity endorsement and more like a family label that happens to have famous founders.
The tasting room, opened in May 2024 on Coombs Street in downtown Napa, is the part visitors talk about. It is built as a speakeasy: the entrance sits on the lower floor of the building facing Pearl Street, and guests pass through a hidden bookshelf doorway into a series of intimate lounge spaces. A glass of sparkling wine is poured on arrival, and from there the room works like a wine lounge rather than a tasting bar, with flights, wines by the glass and bottles to settle in with. An outdoor patio under a neon sign extends the room on nice days, and the space carries original artwork by Paris-based artist Margot Van Huijkelom, who also designed the wine labels, along with touches like a salvaged church pew from Sebastopol.
The lineup leans toward wines built for exactly this kind of lounge: a Blanc de Blanc sparkler from Sonoma County fruit, a Sauvignon Blanc from Napa's Stewart Ranch, a Pinot Noir Rose from the Carneros district, a Merlot-led red blend and a single-vineyard Pinot Noir. The room hosts parties of one to eight, takes private event requests, and runs themed evenings on its calendar, including speakeasy-style murder mystery nights. Because it sits in the walkable core of downtown Napa, a visit slots easily between restaurants, tasting rooms and the riverfront rather than requiring a drive up valley.
What Wino Notion likes about putting Bonita Bonita on a visitor itinerary is that the theater is real: a hidden bookshelf door, a glass of bubbles on arrival, and a lounge that rewards staying a while.

"What Wino Notion likes about Bonita Bonita is that it earns its spot on a downtown Napa evening on atmosphere alone, and the wines, made with the Hill family and Alison Doran, hold up their end of the bargain."
