About Hess Persson Estates
Hess Persson Estates carries the dual surnames of Donald Hess (Swiss-born entrepreneur) and Vera Persson (Swedish-heritage partner) — two European heritage surnames combined on a Mount Veeder Napa Valley estate that is also home to one of California's most significant private contemporary art collections. The Hess Collection Museum on the property houses major works by international artists including Francis Bacon, Leroy New, and others.
The Redwood Road estate on Mount Veeder produces Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from volcanic mountain vineyard sources alongside the art collection. The combination of serious contemporary art and serious volcanic mountain Cabernet makes Hess Persson one of Napa Valley's most complete art-and-wine destination experiences. Wine Advocate has scored Hess Persson's Mount Veeder Cabernet at 88–92 points.
