About Pine Ridge Vineyards

Pine Ridge Vineyards sits directly on the Silverado Trail in the Stags Leap District, with hillside vineyards, landscaped gardens and an extensive cave system. The winery draws from approximately 160 acres across several Napa Valley appellations, giving its tasting program a wider geographic range than the single-district address suggests. Cabernet Sauvignon is central, but visitors can compare how different sites contribute to the portfolio.

Flights may include Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux-style blends and other estate wines from multiple Napa appellations. The Exploration Vineyard near the visitor area contains the grape varieties planted across the estate and gives hosts a practical teaching tool. Cave tastings add context about barrel aging, while more extensive tours begin in the vineyard and connect growing conditions to the cellar.

Current options include a 60-minute Estate Tasting, a 90-minute Cave Tasting and a two-hour vineyard-to-cave tour. Reservations are required for cave and immersive experiences. The tasting room is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with holiday closures. Private groups and events can use gardens, caves and dining spaces through separate arrangements.

The property combines easy Silverado Trail access with a strong cave and vineyard identity. Leashed dogs are welcome in designated outdoor garden or terrace areas, but they cannot enter the caves or premium indoor experiences. Visitors traveling with a dog should reserve an outdoor-compatible format and consider weather. Comfortable shoes are useful for tours involving the vineyard and underground spaces.

Pine Ridge is a strong choice for cave enthusiasts, Cabernet drinkers and travelers who want several levels of depth at one winery. The estate tasting works for a shorter visit, while the two-hour tour should be treated as a primary appointment. Confirm the exact route, dog access, food, group limit and current price before booking. The official display name is Pine Ridge Vineyards, although the existing Wino page uses Pine Ridge Winery.

What Wino Notion Loved

An Olympic downhill skier turned vintner,Gary Andrus raced for the U.S. ski team before channeling that same intensity into planting Cabernet Sauvignon on Stags Leap District's then-untested rugged terrain.
A bet on Stags Leap before it was famous, when Andrus arrived in 1978, Napa Valley was still riding the fame of the 1976 Judgment of Paris, but Stags Leap itself was barely recognized as a serious appellation.
A Chihuly sculpture in the tasting room,Andrus acquired an original Dale Chihuly glass artwork at the 2000 Napa Valley Wine Auction, and it remains on display at the estate today.
"Wino Notion likes the progression from the Exploration Vineyard into the caves. Pine Ridge can show visitors the grape varieties, estate sites and cellar environment in one connected experience instead of treating the cave as a decorative finale."
